PCDC Lipolysis
PCDC Lipolysis or "Fat Dissolving Injections"
PCDC lipolysis is a series of micro-injections that help dissolve unwanted fat. It is composed of Phosphatidylcholine (PC) & Deoxycholic acid (DC), which are naturally occurring in the human body and aid in the breakdown and absorption of dietary fat.
Using a fine needle, the PCDC compound is injected into the desired areas of treatment. The fat cells then absorb the PCDC and become slightly inflamed and then harden. The hardened fat cells break down within a few weeks and are eliminated via the body’s natural processes.

PCDC Fat Dissolving Injections in Sudbury – Frequently Asked Questions
Below are answers to common questions about PCDC fat-dissolving injections at The Pink Syringe in Sudbury. Treatments are customized and performed using a medical, safety-first approach.
What is PCDC and how does it work?
PCDC is a fat-dissolving injectable treatment that contains phosphatidylcholine and deoxycholate. Deoxycholate is a bile-salt–derived compound that disrupts the membrane of fat cells when injected into subcutaneous fat. Once the fat cells are broken down, your body’s natural inflammatory and lymphatic systems gradually clear the debris over several weeks, leading to a reduction in localized fat.
What areas can be treated with PCDC?
PCDC is commonly used to treat small, localized pockets of stubborn fat that are resistant to diet and exercise. Common treatment areas include the submental area (double chin), jawline, jowls, lower face, bra fat, abdomen, flanks, and thighs. Suitability for treatment is determined during a personalized consultation.
Is PCDC the same as filler or Botox®?
No. PCDC is not a filler and it is not a neuromodulator. Unlike filler, which adds volume, or Botox®, which relaxes muscles, PCDC works by reducing fat cells in the treated area. Once fat cells are destroyed, they do not regenerate; however, remaining fat cells can still expand with weight gain.
How many PCDC treatments will I need?
Most clients require a series of treatments for optimal results. The number of sessions depends on the treatment area, amount of fat present, and individual response. Treatments are typically spaced 4–6 weeks apart, allowing time for your body to process and clear the disrupted fat cells.
When will I see results from PCDC?
Results develop gradually. Swelling is expected initially, and visible fat reduction typically becomes noticeable within 4–6 weeks after treatment, with continued improvement over subsequent sessions as the body clears the destroyed fat cells.
